"Reflections of the Life of the Spirit" A course designed to assist in the awakening of the spiritual life in the individual Why this course? With all the technological advances and social progress made in this century, the world should be a happier place... instead we are only too aware of the sadness, injustice, inhumanity and intolerance that plague our lives and the lives of those around us. Many people have no sense of direction or meaning in their lives. They have a feeling that there is more within them, but are uncertain of how to begin to achieve their potential. This course draws on the inspiration of the Bahá'í writings guided by the principle that selfless service to humanity is the main source of human happiness. It offers a way to contribute to our own well being and the well being of society around us. How will I benefit? You’ll benefit by discovering your true identity and how to unleash your latent inner potential. You’ll also learn how to share your capacity with those around you. We will explore:
"The Purpose of the one true God, What is the method? The course uses a participative method of learning which encourages sharing ideas in an open and supportive environment. Each person learns at their own pace in a group of five to ten people with a facilitator guiding the group through the course. Individuals take part in cultural and social activities that are designed to enhance understanding amongst the participants. The arts are used to further foster insights. Time and cost? Whilst some flexibility is offered, the course will be about 2 hrs per week over a period of 12 to 14 weeks. The course is free other than a £5 charge for the workbook. |
